MACC is an umbrella organization that is open to all Alevis-Bektashis regardless of regional or ethnic origins.

MACC understands and accepts Alevism-Bektashism within its traditional framework, and advocates the preservation, and transmission to younger generations, of the Alevi-Bektashi cultural and religious heritage with all of its richness and aspects as they have developed over the centuries

While open to cooperation on specific issues with other NGOs that embrace its basic principles and core values, MACC primarily follows an independent agenda that reflects the priorities and needs of the Alevi-Bektashi communities in North America.

MACC is against the redefinition and deformation of Alevi-Bektashi religious and cultural values by outside groups or individuals serving an assimilationist agenda, and is thus closed to such individuals and groups. MACC is also closed to people who try to impose on MACC the agenda of a certain political party or a movement regardless of what that party or movement might be.
